Happistart Travel assists travelers with visa processing and will guide you through the necessary steps to acquire the required visas. However, travelers are responsible for completing their applications and covering visa fees.

Visa Requirements

• A Schengen visa is required for Finland, Iceland, and Norway for travelers from Jamaica, other non-EU countries.
• Visa-free entry for U.S., U.K., Canadian, and EU passport holders (up to 90 days).
• Apply at least 8-12 weeks before departure to ensure timely processing.
• Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after departure.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS

• Photograph.  A recent, passport-size, color photograph, taken against a light  background, facing forward, without dark or reflective glasses, or any  garments concealing the oval of the face.

• Valid passport. The passport  must be valid for at least 3 months after validity of the visa.  Where  the passport has been issued less than one year prior to Schengen Visa  application submission, applicant must also present the previous  passport. For citizens of countries other than Jamaica, Dominica,  Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis and The Bahamas, the  corresponding resident and/or work permit is required.
• Photocopy of the passport data page.
• Original job letter  indicating date of employment, duration of contract, post in  company and salary. If self-employed, original and copy of the  certificate of registration of the business should be submitted. If a  student, then a letter from the school should be submitted.
• Recent original letter from the bank stating account balance for the last three months (individual month balances), date of the last deposit, and the currency.
• Travel itinerary issued by airline or travel agency, indicating name of passenger (do not purchase ticket prior to the issuance of the visa)(provided by happistart)
• Proof of accommodation  such as hotel reservation; must include address and dates of stay  reserved in the name of applicant.  If staying at someone’s home in the  Schengen destination state, an original letter of invitation processed  by the National Police or relevant Authorities must be submitted as well  as a copy of the host’s passport data page.
• If travelling on the invitation of a company, letter of invitation  issued by the company in the country of destination stating the purpose  of travel, the length of stay, place of abode and specifying who is  covering the cost of the trip.
• Original and photocopy of the Travel Health Insurance in  the name of the applicant, with a minimum coverage of thirty thousand  (30,000) Euros for emergency medical treatment. There should be  additional coverage for repatriation of mortal remains. The insurance  company should have at least an office in a Schengen State and should  cover all costs (the insured should not have to make any up-front  payments).
• For minors, original and photocopy of birth certificate  must be presented. When the minor child is travelling without one of  his/her parents, an original letter authorizing travel from the absent  parent together with the original and photocopy of that parent’s  official identification document, must be submitted. When travelling  without either parent, authorization from both must be submitted.
• Payment of the visa fee. The visa processing fee for adults and children 12 years and older is JMD 15,121.00. Children between 6 and 12 years – JMD 7,560.00. For children under the age of 6 years, the visa is free of cost. Payment is to be made in cash only at this Consular Section upon submission of application.  Visa fees are non-refundable. Please take exact change. DEBIT/CREDIT cards are not accepted.

When necessary to assess the application, the Consular Office may request additional documents or data.Happistart will provide supporting documents 1 week before the consular appointment

Booking & Payment Terms – Arctic Winter Escape 🇫🇮🇮🇸🇳🇴

Happistart Travel is committed to providing a seamless booking process. Please read the following detailed payment structure, refund policy, and important conditions before securing your spot.

💳 Booking & Payment Structure

Each trip price consists of two parts:

✔️ Non-Refundable, Non-Transferable Deposit: $500 (required at booking).
✔️ Remaining Balance: Due according to the outlined payment schedule.

⚠️ Deposit Policy:

• Deposits are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, including promotions or special offers.
• The $500 deposit is required regardless of any promotional discounts.
• Your booking is confirmed only after the deposit is received, officially entering you into a contract with Happistart Travel.

💰 Pricing Adjustments

• The total price of the trip is based on individual demand and is confirmed at the time of booking.
• If price increases occur due to airfare, accommodation, government fees, or taxes up to 45 days before departure, Happistart Travel reserves the right to adjust the contract price by up to 40%.
• Clients will be notified in writing of any price changes before being charged.
• If the price increase exceeds 40%, the client has the right to cancel without penalty.

💲 Balance Payment & Late Fees

✔️ The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before departure.

✔️ Late Payment Fees:

• If a payment is made after the due date, a $200 late fee will be applied every 10 days.
• If a payment is more than 10 days overdue and no extension is arranged, Happistart reserves the right to cancel the traveler’s spot.
• If a traveler is canceled due to non-payment, they may request a 50% refund of paid fees, provided they submit a request within 30 days of cancellation (subject to cancellation and refund terms).

✔️ Late Sign-Up Fee:

• Travelers who book after the standard signup deadline will be charged a $350 late sign-up fee, in addition to their deposit and trip cost.

🚨 Cancellations & Refund Policy

✔️ Refund Policy Based on Cancellation Timing:

• Outside of 45 days before departure:
  • Travelers will receive a full refund minus the $500 deposit, subject to any trip-planning fees already incurred (e.g., airline tickets, accommodations, administrative costs).
• 45 – 30 days before departure:
  • ❌ A $1,000 cancellation fee will apply, plus any trip-planning fees already incurred.
• 30 – 0 days before departure:
  • ❌ 100% of the total trip cost is non-refundable.

✔️ Exceptions – No Cancellation Fees Apply If:

• Happistart Travel increases the contract price by more than 40%.
• The traveler has a severe illness (doctor’s documentation required) or experiences the death of an immediate family member.
• Cancellation is due to a force majeure event (natural disasters, war, government travel bans, etc.).

⚠️ Hotel, airline, and third-party refund policies apply to all cancellations. Refunds are subject to supplier terms.

💳 Payment Terms & Conditions

✔️ Flexible Payment Options: Multiple payment methods are available, but alternative payment methods incur a $45 transaction fee per payment.

✔️ Payment Plan Compliance: Payments must follow the outlined schedule. Failure to pay within 10 days of a due date without an agreed extension results in cancellation.

📸 Media Release Agreement

By booking a trip, the traveler grants Happistart Travel permission to:

✔️ Use their likeness, voice, and image in promotional materials.
✔️ Publish, broadcast, stream, reproduce, or display recordings in any format, including print, digital, and video.
✔️ Utilize media for marketing, advertising, and travel promotion purposes.
