Visa Information

Travelers holding a Jamaican passport will need a visa to enter all countries included in this trip. The trip will close 3 months before departure to allow ample time for visa processing. Once you’ve signed up and completed your deposit, you will receive a welcome email with a list of required documentation for your visa application. HappiStart will provide all necessary travel documents and assist with the visa application process to ensure a smooth experience.

Italy & Switzerland (Schengen Visa)

Requirements:

• Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity beyond your trip)
• Completed visa application form
• Passport-sized photos
• Proof of accommodation (hotel bookings, etc.)
• Travel insurance covering medical emergencies
• Proof of return or onward travel
• Bank statements as proof of financial stability

Application Timeline: Visa processing typically takes 15 days

Cost: 90 Euros (paid directly at the embassy upon submission)

Note: The cost of the visa is not included in the trip package.

Morocco (e-Visa)

Visa Required: e-Visa

Requirements:

• Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity beyond your trip)
• Completed online e-visa application form
• Passport-sized photos
• Proof of accommodation
• Proof of onward or return travel

Application Timeline: The e-visa is processed electronically and typically approved within a few days to a week.

Cost: Included in the trip package

Note: The e-visa is supported by your Schengen Visa, which covers your entry into Italy and Switzerland.

Assistance: HappiStart will provide all necessary documents and assist with the e-visa application.

Terms and Conditions

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Deposit and Payment Terms

• Deposit: The deposit to secure your spot is 100 USD and is non-refundable. The deposit secures your place on the trip. The full trip deposit is US $500 and this will be withed as per cancelation terms
• Balance: The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date.
• Failure to make the final payment by the due date will result in a US $100 late payment fee. Additional late sign-ups beyond the initial payment will incur an extra US $350 charge.
• Payments made after the outlined payment schedule may result in the cancellation of the booking and subject to the cancellation terms below.

Cancellation and Refund Fees

• The client has the right to cancel the travel contract at any time before the trip begins. However, cancellation will incur the following fees:
• Beyond 60 days before departure: Full refund minus the US $500 cancellation fee.
• 60-45 days before departure: 60% of the total contract price will be retained.
• 45-20 days before departure: 75% of the total contract price will be retained.
• 20-0 days before departure: 100% of the total contract price will be retained.

Exceptions to Cancellation Fees: Cancellation fees will not be applied if:

1. HappiStart changes the terms or contract price by more than 20%.
2. In the event of severe illness (doctor’s note required) or the death of a family member.
3. In case of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, etc.).

If the client cancels the trip due to one of the above-mentioned exceptions and within 30 days of the trip’s departure, the cancellation fee will still apply.

Cancellation Process

To initiate a cancellation, the client must notify HappiStart in writing by email or through the official communication channels. The cancellation will be processed once HappiStart receives the written notice.

If cancellation occurs after the trip has been confirmed, cancellation fees will be deducted based on the time of cancellation relative to the trip’s departure date.

Payment Options and Fees

• Payment Methods: HappiStart offers multiple payment options for clients. However, alternative payment methods (such as wire transfers or credit cards outside of the standard process) will incur a US $45 transaction fee per payment.
• Late Payment Penalties: Payments made after the outlined payment plan dates will attract a US $100 fee for every 10-day delay. If the payment remains unpaid beyond this period, the booking may be canceled, and a partial refund (50%) may be provided.

Refunds for Cancellations: Once the deposit is made and the client cancels, a 50% refund of paid fees may be available only if the cancellation occurs within 30 days of the cancellation date, and is subject to the cancellation terms and refund policy.

Refund in the Event of Visa Denial

In the event of visa denial or inability to obtain the necessary travel documents, the client will be refunded all fees, minus any embassy fees and the HappiStart deposit. Refunds will be processed only after verification of the visa denial.

Liability and Disclaimer

HappiStart is not responsible for:

• Any loss or damages resulting from the actions of third-party suppliers (e.g., airlines, hotels, tour operators).
• Any issues arising due to extreme sporting activities or dangerous recreational activities undertaken by the traveler.
• Any illness, injury, or death resulting from participation in activities or unforeseen events during the trip.

Travel Insurance is recommended and should be purchased by the client. HappiStart will assist with insurance options, but travelers are responsible for understanding their coverage and any exclusions, especially for medical or trip cancellation coverage.

1. Will the budget be the same if I am traveling from outside of Jamaica?
NO. Depending on the country you are flying from, the budget may vary. Select the city you are departing from to see your price. If your city is not listed, please select the “NO FLIGHT” option, and we will provide a separate quote for your flight.

2. What is meant by securing your spot?
Your spot on the trip is only guaranteed after you have made the deposit. The deposit ensures your place in the group.

3. Can I join the group with my friends?
Absolutely! You and your friends can join the trip as long as there is space available. We allow groups of up to 10 travelers to join our group trips. For groups larger than 10, a private group trip must be arranged.

4. Do I need a visa?
Yes, Jamaican passport holders need a visa for this trip. Please refer to the visa section for detailed requirements for each country.

5. What if I don’t want to travel with the group?
This trip is designed for group travel. If you prefer a private experience, please email us at info@happistart.com to plan your private trip.

6. How long is the trip?
The trip lasts 8 days, providing ample time to explore the highlights of Zurich, Rome, and Marrakesh.

7. Will we be visiting any countries that are not on the list?
No, the trip will only include the cities of Zurich, Rome, and Marrakesh. However, connections may be through other countries, depending on your flight route.

8. Will I need any additional visas for this trip?
If you are traveling on a Jamaican passport, you will need a Schengen visa for Italy and Switzerland, and an e-visa for Morocco. Please check the visa section for more details.

9. Can I bring my child on this trip?
