Cancellation & Payment Policy

Deposit & Balance Policy

The total cost of the trip includes a non-refundable deposit and a remaining balance. A traveler is officially confirmed once:

1. The deposit has been paid
2. The digital travel contract has been signed

The balance must be paid in full no later than 30 days before departure.

• Late payments will attract a USD 350 fee.
• If a traveler fails to make a payment within 10 days of the due date and has not contacted the Happistart team, the reservation will be canceled. In this case, 50% of any amount paid (excluding the deposit) will be eligible for refund.

Pricing Adjustments

Trip pricing is based on group rates and current airline and hotel fees. If external factors such as airline surcharges, hotel changes, or tax increases occur, Happistart reserves the right to increase the final price by up to 20%.

Any adjustment will be communicated to travelers in writing at least 21 days before departure.

Cancellation Policy

Travelers may cancel at any time; however, cancellation fees apply based on the proximity to the departure date:

• 90 to 45 days before departure: 35% of the total trip cost
• 45 to 25 days before departure: 75% of the total trip cost
• 25 days or less before departure: 100% of the total trip cost

Visa Denial Clause

If a visa application is denied, the traveler will receive a refund of all payments made except the non-refundable deposit and any visa processing fees.

Official proof of denial from the consulate or embassy must be submitted in writing.

Exceptions to Cancellation Fees

Cancellation fees will not apply in the following cases:

• If Happistart alters the contract price by more than 20%
• Serious illness or medical emergency (with documentation from a licensed provider)
• Death in the immediate family
• Force majeure events (natural disasters, government-imposed travel bans)

Note: If these exceptions occur within 15 days of departure, Happistart reserves the right to retain the full package cost due to prior commitments already made on behalf of the traveler.

General Terms

• All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
• All fees and penalties are based on the full trip price, including flights, accommodations, tickets, and services.
• Policies are subject to revision prior to the finalization of group reservations.

Rules of Admission

Traveler Rules & Conditions

To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and well-supervised experience for all families, the following rules apply to this family trip:

Age & Guardian Requirements

• All travelers under the age of 16 are considered minors and must be accompanied by their legal parent or guardian.
• Children may not be accompanied by anyone under the age of 21. The supervising adult must be at least 21 years old.
• Children aged 12 and older are considered adults for fare purposes.
• No unaccompanied minors, teens, will be accepted. You must be at least 21 years old to participate. Exceptions may apply.

Group Travel Conditions

• This trip is for a single destination only Paris. The itinerary is fixed, and no individual adjustments will be made.
• For school groups, there must be at least one adult chaperone for every six students under the age of 15.
• All teachers or group leaders must have written parental consent for each child they accompany outside the country. Additional conditions may apply for school groups.
• Newborns will not be accepted unless the parent is also accompanying another child.

Visa & Travel Documentation

• A valid Schengen visa is required for all travelers who are not exempt. Families who do not currently possess a visa and do not meet eligibility requirements, Happistart will assist with visa processing for those who need one.
• Travelers who already possess a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa may participate without reapplying.
• An adult over 21 may chaperone a child who is not their own only if both the adult and child already possess valid Schengen visas and the adult has written, notarized consent from the child’s legal parent or guardian. All such exceptions are subject to Happistart approval.

Conduct & Safety

• All travelers are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and follow the rules set by Happistart staff, hotel management, and theme park authorities. Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the group at the guardian’s expense.
• Parents or guardians must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs of the child at the time of booking so adequate support can be arranged.
• In the event of a medical or safety emergency when a parent or guardian cannot be immediately reached, Happistart reserves the right to act in the best interest of the child under professional guidance.

Insurance & Liability

• Travel insurance covering trip interruption, medical emergencies, and visa denial is strongly recommended. Travelers without insurance will travel at their own risk.
• Travelers are responsible for their own belongings at all times. Happistart is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Agreement

All parents or guardians must sign an acknowledgment confirming they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules before final payment or visa processing.

U.S. Visa Eligibility Requirements

For Travelers Requiring a Schengen Visa – Please Read Carefully

At Happistart, we welcome families from across the Caribbean to join us on unforgettable travel experiences. However, to protect your time, energy, and finances, please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria before registering for this trip.

⚠️ Do not sign up if you do not meet the eligibility requirements below. Deposits are non-refundable.

These requirements apply only to travelers who do not currently possess a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa.

Adult Applicants (Ages 18+)

You must meet all of the following conditions to be eligible for visa processing through Happistart:

• You are gainfully employed and can provide proof of income and financial stability.
• You have a clean criminal record with no charges or convictions.
• You have no previous immigration violations with any country (including revoked visas, deportation, removal proceedings, or denied petitions).

Minor Applicants (Ages 2–18)

Minors applying for a visa must also meet the following criteria:

• There are no active or pending immigration filings for the child.
• The applicant is currently enrolled in a full-time educational institution.
• The applicant has no record of canceled or revoked Schengen visas.

Additional Notes

• Consular Officers make final decisions at their discretion. Meeting all requirements does not guarantee visa approval.
• Supporting documents strengthen an application but do not replace credibility. Interview responses must align with documentation and clearly show intent to return.
• Applicants should avoid applying if their primary intent is to visit relatives or if they plan to give misleading information. Misrepresentation can lead to a five-year Schengen ban.
• All information provided will be verified during the visa screening process.
• Happistart reserves the right to decline visa processing for any applicant who does not meet the criteria above.
• If a visa application is denied, all payments made (excluding the visa processing fee and the non-refundable deposit) will be refunded.

Q: Is this trip suitable for all ages?
Absolutely. This experience is curated for families with children from toddlers to teens.

Q: Can I bring more than two children?
Yes. Additional children can be added at checkout. If you need a larger room or suite, simply let us know so we can accommodate your family comfortably.

Q: Can I travel from a different country?
Yes. Travelers from Jamaica, the wider Caribbean, the USA, and Canada are welcome. You may select your departure city or choose the Land-Only Package if booking your own flights.

Q: Will there be someone to help us at the parks?
Yes. Our Happistart team provides a group orientation, daily tips, and ongoing support. We’ll also be available via WhatsApp throughout your stay.

Q: Is transportation included to and from the parks?
Yes. Park transfers are included for all families staying at the host hotel.
