Packing Essentials: What to Bring

Visa and Vaccination Requirements

• Visa-free travel: No visa is required for most nationalities entering Peru
• Passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your departure date from Peru
• Travelers who do not meet the passport validity requirement may be denied entry
• No mandatory vaccinations are required
• Yellow Fever vaccine is recommended if visiting jungle regions

Terms and Conditions

Booking and Payment Structure

Each trip price consists of two parts:
• A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $250 required at booking
• The remaining balance due per the outlined payment schedule

The $250 deposit is required even if a promotional discount applies. Your booking is confirmed only once the deposit is received.

Pricing Adjustments

The total price is agreed upon at booking. If airfare, accommodation, taxes, or fees increase, Happistart may adjust the price by up to 40 percent up to 45 days before departure. You will be notified in writing. If the increase exceeds 40 percent, you may cancel without penalty.

Balance Payment and Late Fees

• Final balance is due no later than 30 days before departure
• Payments after the deadline incur a $200 late fee for every 10-day delay
• If more than 10 days overdue without extension, Happistart may cancel your spot. A refund of up to 50 percent may be issued if requested within 30 days of cancellation

Late Sign-Up Fee

Travelers booking after the standard deadline will be charged a $350 late sign-up fee in addition to their deposit and trip cost.

Cancellations and Refund Policy

Refunds are based on timing:
• More than 45 days before departure: Full refund minus the $250 deposit and any planning-related fees
• Between 45 and 30 days before departure: 75 percent of total cost is non-refundable
• Less than 30 days before departure: 100 percent of total cost is non-refundable

Refund Exceptions

No cancellation fees apply if:
• Happistart increases the total price by more than 40 percent
• Traveler has a serious illness with doctor documentation or experiences the death of an immediate family member
• Cancellation is due to force majeure (natural disaster, war, government travel bans)

Third-party hotel, airline, and tour operator policies apply and will affect refund amounts.

Payment Terms and Conditions

• Flexible payment options are available. Alternative methods may incur a $45 transaction fee
• Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable
• Prices are subject to change until group reservations are finalized
• Payments must be made on time. If payment is delayed beyond 10 days without extension, the traveler may be removed from the trip

Media Release Agreement

By booking, you grant Happistart Travel the right to:
• Use your likeness, voice, and image in promotional materials
• Publish and reproduce any recordings in print, digital, or video format
• Use media content for marketing and promotional purposes
